THE SCATTERING OF CHARGE CARRIERS IN SOME THERMOELECTRICS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE

The paper discusses the scattering parameters of charge carriers for various thermoelectric materials at room temperature. For this, the values of the Seebeck coefficient, concentration, and effective mass are required. For those papers in which the latter is not indicated, separate calculations have been performed. It is shown that acoustic-phonon scattering occurs in a number of materials, and polar optical-phonon scattering occurs in the rest. It has also been shown that a change in the concentration of charge carriers in a particular thermoelectric material is accompanied by a change in the scattering mechanism, while for the same concentration, the content of a dopant does not cause a change in this mechanism.
