EFFECT OF VISCOSITY ON THE STRUCTURE PROPERTIES OF PVC NANOFIBERS

The present study proposes to obtain PVC nanofibers by electrospinning the PVC solution under different viscosities (200, 400, and 600). For this purpose, a PVC/THF solution was electrospun with setting all parameters of the electrospinning system set. X-ray spectroscopy indicated the production of amorphous PVC nanofiber structures, and FE-SEM images showed PVC nanofibers on a nanometric scale had average diameters about 133nm, it was shown that the morphology of the prepared fibers improved with increasing solution viscosity. While FTIR examinations showed that the functional groups of PVC were not affected by their morphological structure.
